If you have provided other means of contact (e.g. telephone number) we reserve the right to use this method of contact if deemed necessary. Once a message has been received it may be forwarded or discussed with members of the company only to retrieve an accurate and timely response to users’ question/s. When a response has been decided upon a member of the Whyte team will respond using the contact@whyte.bike email address. Users may respond directly to this without using the form if the issue/question is not resolved. Once the issue is resolved then the email is archived. Once archived we will not use the email address to contact you again regarding the issue/question that was asked or for any other reason, including product promotions. The archived emails may be used to collect statistical information on which subjects/topics arise the most and therefore help us to improve our website by adding information that is being commonly asked. We reserve the right to use the information the user has provided with any of our official Whyte dealers. The information may be shared to help rectify an issue with a product or to ensure efficient communication between the customer and our company.

 

Collection and processing using the registration form

When using the registration form, we collect personal data (details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific bike purchase (ownership detail) only in the scope provided by you. This includes full name, email address, bike product purchased, the unique frame number, and information about the authorised Whyte dealer who facilitated the sale. We only use your e-mail address to process your registration and will send a confirmation of registration. Once the registration confirmation has been sent the email will be kept on file and may be used to contact the registered person only when urgent information is needed to be sent regarding their particular product. This doesn’t not include any sales or promotional materials. All information collected in the form is kept for a minimum of 4 years (the terms of the extended frame warranty). After this period the records are archived. At no point are customers asked for information about their address. Whyte dealer information is only used to ascertain which of our dealers are actively promoting our registration process. We reserve the right to use the information the user has provided with the applicable authorised Whyte dealer. The information may be shared to help rectify an issue with a product or to ensure efficient communication between the customer and our company.

 

Purchases from the online shop

The Whyte online shop collects personal data (details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific purchase (ownership detail) only in the scope provided by you. The information is used to ensure efficient processing and delivery of item/s ordered. We reserve the right to contact customers using the information provided regarding their purchase. This may include ensuring prompt delivery or information regarding replacements/refunds. Customers information will not be used for promotions of products either from the Whyte shop or any 3rd party.

Payment using PayPal

We will only access PayPal to ensure funds have been received or to facilitate refunds. No personal details will be shared using data from this platform.
